Made-to-order editions
Each pomander is made entirely by hand over a period of six weeks. As these editions are made to your specification and committed to production at the point of order, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply under Article 16(c) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive and the equivalent provision of the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. This exception is disclosed to you before you complete your purchase. By placing an order for a made-to-order edition, you acknowledge that the order cannot be cancelled once production has begun. If your edition arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us at hello@houseofdeuxpies.com within 7 days of delivery with a photograph and we will make it right.
Pre-made editions and studies
For editions that are not made to order — such as the Vanilla Study — you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your item, without giving a reason. You then have a further 14 days to return it. We will issue a full refund, including the original delivery cost, within 14 days of receiving the return, provided the item is returned in its original, unopened condition. Return shipping is at your own cost unless the item arrives damaged or incorrect. To arrange a return, contact us at hello@houseofdeuxpies.com.
One-of-a-kind and second-hand objects
Some editions include unique, one-of-a-kind or curated second-hand objects. As online purchases, the standard 14-day right of withdrawal applies. However, as these are singular items with no possibility of replacement, please handle them with care — any diminishment in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to assess the item may be deducted from your refund. Items must be returned in the same condition in which they were received, with any original packaging. Please contact us at hello@houseofdeuxpies.com to initiate a return before sending anything back.
How to cancel
To exercise your right of withdrawal, notify us by email at hello@houseofdeuxpies.com before the 14-day deadline. Please include your order number, your name, and the item you wish to return. You do not need to give a reason.
Refunds
Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 14 days of us receiving your returned item, or proof that it has been dispatched — whichever is earlier.
Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK or EU consumer law. House of DeuxPies is a trading name of Lily & Piper Ltd, registered in England and Wales (No. 07311285).
